Alright Nixon, sit back down!

It has been a while since we have updated the blog and a lot has been happening. First off I'll start with the somewhat sad news. The Midnight List is temporarily on hold. Don't worry though, we are holding on to it until a bit later, when we are able to make it even better, as the great script deserves.

Onto some better news, longtime friends of ours make it so studios have asked for our assistance in making some videos to explain how their iphone apps work. Check out the first video for Inflation vs. Savings Graphit below.



Special thanks to Jewelbeat.com for our wicked infomercial music! Stay tooned, as the other videos should be rolling out soon. While this vid may be a bit on the serious side, we can say some of them in the future will embrace comedy and bizarreness that you crave from us.

Also, if you look real close at the end of the video, you can see our Steam Powered Studios logo is almost ready. I can't wait to show you what it looks like, but, in the words of male modelling sensation Derek Zoolander, "You gotta tame the beast before you let it out of it's cage."

Anyway, stay tuned! New projects are coming in and lots more is almost ready to come out...plus, as a guy with a camera and the means, you can probably expect to see some terribly silly videos coming out soon too.

Busy, busy, busy!

Hey folks, it's been a while since we've made an update, but rest assured, it's because we have been busy.

First up, Jon wanted to brag about his role in Jesse Anthony's locally shot micro-budget feature film. For more information on that check out Skateproof's official website.

We are still working hard on the preproduction of The Midnight List and are really expecting great things from the project. Especially, now that we are getting closer to the production date. We also want to make it official that our longtime friend, Joel Thompson, will be co-producing. To show who he is, check out the great preview for his newest project.



We have other things on the go to be announced, so check back soon.

Our first project.

Great news! We formed a production company, not just to impress the ladies (which it totally does), but to make movies. It pleases me to announce our first project.

It is set to be directed by none other than Softlight Studios' creative mastermind Will Beatty, and is being produced by our very own Jon Blizzard (your's truly). We are currently in pre-production, and aiming for a shoot in mid-December.

There are many details that, as of this point, we can't divulge, but if you'd like to hear the creative mind behind this project, check it out at the Softlight Studios Blog.

It begins!

I'm pleased to finally announce the arrival of Steam Powered Studios! As of 1 hour ago, I finally got word that I the company registration has gone through and I can gradually start discussing our coming film projects.

First off, as an aside I am going to explain what we are. Steam Powered Studios is a Fredericton based movie production company, with big aspirations, and if I'm going to get the idea of what our prime goal is, I figure what better way than to quote the man, Bruce Campbell, who said, "Filmmakers need to perspire, not aspire."

We are doing just that as we put all of the pieces together. As of right now, www.steampoweredstudios.com is registered and direction people to this blog. This is of course until I get the proper website finished.
